Bruce Hendler - Founder and Head Coach
Bruce Hendler, a certified USA Cycling coach and founder of AthletiCamps, moved from Ohio to California in his early-20’s, where he worked at Hewlett-Packard and raced as a Catagory 1 for the following 18 years. In 2001, the year the dotcom bubble burst, Bruce was “downsized” from HP. While initially a set-back, this gave him the opportunity to pursue his lifelong passion with the sport of cycling. His vision, of creating a high-quality, service-focused, athletic training camp and coaching business (with a strong emphasis on cycling), led to the founding of AthletiCamps. Since inception, AthletiCamps has been providing camps, coaching, performance testing and nutritional services for cyclists. More importantly, he has mentored and motivated numerous all levels of athletes (from beginner to professional) to attain new heights of athletic performance. Many of the cyclists who have been through the AthletiCamps program have gone on to race, win and succeed in many areas of the sport. “Aspire Higher” is not only a corporate motto for Bruce, it’s a way to keep his focus on helping his athletes succeed and exceed their goals. Read a welcome message from Bruce.....
