The Fine Print

Please read the following information carefully before registering for a camp, tour, or coaching:

What’s Included

Camps (6 day) - All accommodations, most meals, snacks and drinks for each ride, technical support, one month of free coaching after the camp , physiological testing and bike fitting, lectures, individual coaching consultations, skills clinics, guest lecturers, and expertise of coaches and ride leaders..

Camps (4 day) - Dinners, snacks and drinks for each ride, physiological testing and bike fitting, lectures, individual coaching consultations, skills and expertise of coaches and ride leaders.

Camps (weekend) - Lunches, snacks and drinks for each ride, lactate threshold testing, lectures, group coaching consultation, skills and expertise of coaches and ride leaders.

Tours - Lodging (double occupancy), transportation, breakfast, snacks, on-bike coaching, guide and maps for all your routes.

Camp and clinic staff and schedule may change as camp approaches due to availability.  All athletes whom are registered will be notified if any changes occur and the staff member will be replaced with someone of equal knowledge.

What’s Not Included

Airfare to and from your trip, lodging and meals before and after your trip.  Personal items during the trip.  Some meals, which allows time off to explore on your own. Alcoholic beverages during your camp, clinic or tour, gratuities for coaches and ride leaders, additional physiological or biomechanical testing.

Meals and Lodging

All camps and tours that include lodging are double occupancy.  Single room options are available at additional cost.  Please see the camp or tour webpage for details.  If you want to be roomed with a particular person, just let us know and we can accommodate the request.

AthletiCamps is sensitive to athletes with different dietary needs.  Please contact us in the event that you have a special dietary request.

For camp/touring, if there are no double occupancies available, the cost of a single room option must be paid for.

Bikes

You must bring your own bike.  Contact AthletiCamps to discuss options for transporting your bike to the camp/tour.

Please make sure your bike is in correct working order.  Bring extra tubes, tires, water bottles and a frame pump or CO2 system for the training rides.  Recommended gearing is 39 x 25/27 for double chainrings.

Reserving and Paying for your Camp/Tour

$500 (Six Day Camps and Custom clinics), $300 (Four Day Camps), $100 (Weekend Camps) deposit due with registration 60 days before camp or full amount of camp.

If you only make the deposit, full payment must be postmarked 60 days before the camp.

If you sign up within 60 days, full payment is due with your registration.

AthletiCamps accepts personal checks, money orders, cashiers checks and Paypal credit cards and E-checks.

Insurance

AthletiCamps highly recommends travel insurance in the event of medical emergency, lost baggage or cancelled trip.

AthletiCamps recommends http://insuremytrip.com/ to compare plans and choose what is best for you.

Responsibility of the Athlete

Athletes are responsible for reading all pre-camp materials, reading and obeying all local traffic rules and advising AthletiCamps of any medical or dietary problems or restrictions.  Athletes must wear helmets during their cycling camp or clinic.  Athletes must sign an AthletiCamps Release Form, a UC Davis release form and a UC Davis agreement to be tested.  All athletes must pass a medical clearance in order to be tested.  AthletiCamps reserves the right to ask an individual to leave a camp or clinic if, in the opinion of the camp leader, the athlete’s continued participation may prove detrimental to the athlete or is not compatible with the well-being and enjoyment of the other athletes.

Limitations of Liability and Release

AthletiCamps is not responsible for bodily injury or property damage as a result of, but not limited to: physical exertion, which an athlete is not prepared; forces of nature; civil unrest; terrorism; illegal activity or force majeur; travel by car during the camp; consumption of alcoholic beverages; breakdown of equipment; high altitude; inclement weather; lack of or limited access to medical attention in remote areas; and inadequacy of medical attention once provided.

Additional Services

Additional services are available at each camp, clinic or tour and will be sent to you prior to the camp/clinic/tour.  These include such things as clothing, additional testing, individual consultations with nutritionists and sports psychologists.

Coaching Fees and Performance Testing for Individually Coached Athletes

Coaching fees paid monthly are due within the first 5 days of the month.

If you pay in advance and decide you want stop being coached, the amount you paid which is remaining in your contract minus half will be refunded (e.g. If you paid $2700 for 12 months of coaching and you cancel with 6 months remaining, you will receive a refund of $675)

All athletes must sign an AthletiCamps coaching waiver

To terminate coaching, please send AthletiCamps a written 30 day notice

For performance tests, a 50%, non-refundable deposit is required.  Appointments can be rescheduled if 24 hr notice is given to AthletiCamps.
All athletes participating in Performance testing must fill out a medical history questionnaire and sign a waiver to be tested.

Formula for Success Policy

Package cost must be paid 90 days in advance of your initial camp or clinic

Cancellation of the package before starting has the same rules as the Camps and Clinics cancellation policy

If you cancel at any point prior to the end of the package, you will receive 50% of the remaining cost of each individual service less the discount for buying the complete package.

The package must be used within 2 calendar years.
